mayo aka marco menzel
Part of the scene since the 1040 days, mayo aka Marco Menzel has consistently moved outside the mainstream. His sound is complex, reduced and characterized by a clear, functional aesthetic.
Dry grooves, dubby depth, subtle arcs of tension - music that doesn't rely on quick effects, but on attitude and atmosphere. Between the club function and the emotional undertone, a flow is created that leaves space but still builds up pressure.
No trend awareness, no overstatement.
But sound with character and continuity.
